The Wildhearts are from Wildeck in Northern Hesse derived musical duo of the popular hit song .
Musical career
Wolfgang Schwalm (born August 16, 1954 in Görzhain , electrical engineer by profession , then worked as a department head of a wholesale company ) and Wilfried Gliem (born September 10, 1946 in Obersuhl , insurance salesman by profession , then manager of GG Anderson ) both sang for Die Curocas, the backing band of the pop singer GG Anderson, who later also worked as a producer for the Wildecker Herzbuben. Anderson was looking for a singing duo for the composition Herzilein von Carola and Burkhard Lüdtke and asked them if they wanted to record this title. They agreed and in 1989 the duo's first single was released under the name Die Wildecker Herzbuben . The title Herzilein became a success in the genre of popular hits and brought the duo numerous awards and appearances on various radio and television programs as well as tours at home and abroad. Peter Alexander had previously rejected an early version of the song because the lyrics seemed misogynistic to him. According to Gliem on the late-night show Inas Nacht, her stage clothes are not a fantasy .
In the following years, the duo was one of the most successful interpreters of folk music. Her 1995 album Kuschelzeit was composed and produced by Dieter Bohlen .
Others
In the 2004 film Der Wixxer , the Wildecker Herzbuben made a guest appearance as a criminal (Die Gang des Schreckens) .
You also performed together with Hape Kerkeling alias "Helga" in the musicians' barn . The appearance on Kerkeling's show The world is laughing was shown .
In 2005, the Wildecker Herzbuben, together with Heinz Günther Heygen and Rainer Schlag, brought the cookbook Cooking with Swing onto the market.
In spring 2012 they appeared in various roles in the western parody Cat Ballou - You will hang in Kötzschenbroda in the Comödie Dresden, staged by Alexander G. Schäfer .
Wilfried Gliem was a participant in Promi Big Brother 2015. He voluntarily left the Big Brother house after eleven days . Gliem lives in Wildeck- Hönebach .
Trivia
- In the GDR there was a band called Die Herzbuben . In order to avoid any confusion with the Wildecker Herzbuben, this group was renamed Die Prinzen in 1991 and subsequently became one of the most successful German bands with almost 6 million records sold.
- In the television show Kalkofes Mattscheibe , Oliver Kalkofe always called them Die Wildecker Herzverfettungen or Die Wildecker heart valve defects .
- Wilfried Gliem's wife Elke Gliem is the great cousin of Hollywood actor Bruce Willis .
- Schwalm's first television appearance was as a trumpeter at the age of 4.
