Wilhelm Dieckerhoff

Wilhelm Dieckerhoff (born October 18, 1835 in Lichtendorf , Hörde district ; † 1903 ) was a German veterinarian .

He studied at the veterinary school in Berlin from 1853 to 1857 , then practiced as a veterinarian and district veterinarian in Bochum , became a teacher in 1870 and a professor at the veterinary school in Berlin in 1878 .

He had been a member of the Prussian technical deputation for veterinary affairs since 1875, was also the department veterinarian for the Potsdam administrative region from 1878 to 1898 and rector at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Berlin from 1892 to 1894 and from 1898 to 1900 . The University of Greifswald awarded him an honorary doctorate in medicine in 1888 .
