Wilhelm Palmes
Wilhelm Palmes (* 1903 ; † 1982 ) was a painter from Greven and achieved great success with his portraits and landscape paintings and made a name for himself above all as a “painter of the human soul”.
Works
Flower pictures belong to a genre that Wilhelm Palmes particularly liked to paint. The different motifs range from still lifes to pieces of field flowers and sunflowers to garden flowers. They allowed the painter to express his admiration for the diversity of nature or, as he called it, for creation, in interesting compositions but even more in color.
