Willi Erdmann

Willi Erdmann (born July 31, 1937 in Ribben , East Prussia ) is a German legal scholar. From 1980 to 2002 he was a judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

Life

After completing his legal training at the Georg-August University in Göttingen , he initially worked as a lawyer for a short time before joining the judicial service of the State of Lower Saxony in 1968 . In 1969 he received his doctorate on a criminal law topic.

He held various positions as judge and prosecutor ; from 1975 he was a judge at the Oldenburg Higher Regional Court .

In 1980 Erdmann was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice. He was a member of the First Civil Senate of the Federal Court of Justice , whose focus is on commercial legal protection. In 1995 he became deputy chairman and in 1996 chairman of this senate. In addition, Erdmann was during his tenure at the Federal repeated at the service court of the federal act, first between 1989 and 1991 as a member, and after that between 1995 and 1996 as vice chairman and finally between 1997 and 2001 as chairman. From 1991 to 1994 he was a presidential judge with administrative tasks.

In 1995 Erdmann was appointed honorary professor by the University of Osnabrück .

In 2002 he retired. Since then he has been active as an arbitrator in arbitration proceedings , in particular on questions of energy law.
