William Scharsmith
William Scharsmith (born August 14, 1882 , † January 1982 in Queens , New York ) was an American doctor and honorary citizen of Speyer .
During the inflationary period, Scharsmith organized help for children in the Palatinate and founded the society "American Homes for Children in the Palatinate". Because of his services, he was made honorary citizenship of the city of Speyer on June 28, 1923.
