Willy William 2016

Willy William (born April 14, 1981 ) is a French musician with Mauritanian roots. He became known as part of the Collectif Métissé , but is also successful solo.

Career

In addition to his DJ work in Collectif Métissé from 2009, William was also successful as a songwriter and composer . He was involved in several chart hits by DJ Assad and Keen'V . Also called Featuring he was several times in the charts. In 2015, he left the group to start a solo career.

He landed his first solo chart hit outside France in 2015 with the song Ego , which reached number 18 in Italy and number 4 in the Netherlands. In the summer of 2017 he released a remix of his French-language song Voodoo Song together with J Balvin . The new song is titled Mi gente and is in both French and Spanish . It became a worldwide chart success and was able to reach number one in several countries, including in the Dutch and Spanish charts.

Private

William's mother is from Ethiopia , his father from Guadeloupe . He has a sister named Linda.
