In the landscape protection area (LSG) Wilschdorf-Rähnitzer Sandhügelland is the source area of the Promnitz in the Ellerwiesen , it is referred to as "Bartlake" in the course of the source. The Promnitz flows through the Radeburg districts of Bärnsdorf and Berbisdorf . It is the name model of the former municipality of Promnitztal and flows into the Große Röder near Radeburg . The area is accessible by the roads S81 and S96.
