Cooperation in the nuclear industry

An essential role of the World Nuclear Association is to promote economic cooperation between its members.

The current working groups, consisting of the institutional members and supported by the Secretariat of the World Nuclear Association, distribute information and development analyzes in the fields of technology, trade and environmental issues.

When the members meet at meetings and conferences that concern the economic use of nuclear energy, every effort is made to avoid creating the impression of cartel formation , for example price fixing for processed uranium or capital goods . Accordingly, the contract details of current or planned projects, the classification of markets, the rejection of manufacturers or consumers or the obvious topics are not discussed at the meetings.
