Wulf Diepenbrock

Wulf Diepenbrock (born January 4, 1947 in Neustadt in Holstein ) is a German agricultural scientist and university professor. From 2006 to 2010 he was rector of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg .

Life

From 1970 to 1974 he studied agricultural science at the University of Kiel . In 1977 he received his doctorate there, and in 1984 he completed his habilitation. In 1989 he was appointed associate professor at the University of Kiel. In 1993 he accepted the professorship for special crop production and plant breeding at the University of Bonn and from 1994 to 2012 he was professor for special crop production at the University of Halle-Wittenberg in Halle (Saale) . From 1996 to 2000 he was Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture there.

In 2009, the Gregor Mendel University in Brno ( Brno ) awarded him an honorary doctorate.
