The Xiamen University (English Xiamen University , Latin Universitas Amoiensis , Chinese 厦门 大学 , Pinyin Xiàmén Dàxué ) is a state university in the People's Republic of China founded in 1915 by Tan Kah Kee . It is based in Xiamen City, Fujian Province .
The university is one of the universities in Project 211 and in 2005 had over 30,000 students and over 3,000 academic employees.
