Yang Shin-young ( kor. 양신영 ; born November 8, 1990 ) is a South Korean short tracker .

Yang made his international debut in October 2007 in the 2007/08 Short Track World Cup . There she achieved good results in her first races, after four races she was already on the podium three times. In Turin she achieved her first World Cup victory at the beginning of December 2007 in the 1000 m distance. Since she concentrated exclusively on the two longer World Cup courses, 1000 and 1500 meters, in that season, she finished third and fourth in the respective overall World Cups. Yang achieved a total of seven podium finishes in the 2007/08 season, including one win and four second places.

Also in the 2008 World Championship Yang participated successfully, here they won bronze over 1500 meters and placed himself in the stands four and six in the 1000- and 500-meter races. She qualified as one of the best eight athletes in the total of the results for the 3000 m race, which she also finished fourth. In the all-round overall result, she was third and best Korean behind the two Chinese women Wang Meng and Zhou Yang .

In the Short Track World Cup 2008/09 , Yang started with three third places in four competitions, now also on the short 500 m distance, on which she is third in the current overall World Cup.
