Use in film and musical

Already terminally ill, Evita sees that her husband loves her not only because of his political career. This is highlighted with You Must Love Me .

The song was not included in the original musical . Lloyd Webber and Rice wrote You Must Love Me for the film. Thus the song could be nominated for the film prizes (especially the Oscar ). The song is often included in the productions of the musical that emerged after the film, for example in the 2006 London Revival production with Elena Roger as Evita.
