Yves Duteil (born July 24, 1949 in Neuilly-sur-Seine , France ) is a multi-award-winning French songwriter, composer, singer, author and cultural activist.

One of his most famous chansons is the hymn to the French language La langue de chez nous . Prendre un enfant par la main is counted among the “best chansons of the century” ; Free interpretations by Nana Mouskouri and Reinhard Mey as well as by other artists in other languages ​​have been published under the title Give a child your hand .
