Zachary Edward "Zack" Snyder (born March 1, 1966 in Green Bay , Wisconsin ) is an American film director , screenwriter and film producer .

Career

Zack Snyder was born in the American city of Green Bay . He went to the Daycroft School in Connecticut , his parents worked on as a supervisor to allow her son to visit the school. After graduating from high school, he studied painting at Heatherley's School of Fine Art in London , which later had a considerable influence on the design of his films. After completing his studies at Heatherlies, he moved to the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena , which he graduated with special distinction.

Zack Snyder first made a name for himself as a director and cameraman for commercials and music clips (including Shawn Colvin , Soul Asylum , Morrissey and Heather Nova ). He has also shot portraits of famous athletes such as Michael Jordan and Martina Navrátilová .

Snyder has four children from his first marriage, two children from a later relationship, and two children from his marriage to Deb Snyder.

In May 2017, Snyder first publicly mentioned the suicide of his 20-year-old daughter Autumn, which she committed in March of the same year. The director therefore left his ongoing film project Justice League and ceded directing the film to his colleague Joss Whedon .
