The Lower Bavaria Dental District Association ( ZBV NdB ) is the professional self-administration of around 1,100 dentists in the Lower Bavaria administrative region . It is a public corporation and - like seven other dental district associations - a member of the Bavarian State Dental Association (BLZK), which is also a Kdö.R. is. The Lower Bavaria Dental District Association is subject to the legal supervision of the Government of Lower Bavaria and the legal and technical supervision of the BLZK. Every dentist in Lower Bavaria is a compulsory member of the ZBV NdB. He keeps the dentist register, is responsible for compliance with the professional code and organizes the training of dental assistants in Lower Bavaria. He supports the dentists on site in all questions of professional practice and practice management.

The Bavarian Medical Professions Chamber Act forms the legal basis for this self-governing body . Members of the ZBV NdB are all dentists who are authorized to practice their profession and who work as dentists in Lower Bavaria or who - without being a dentist - have their main residence in Lower Bavaria. The ZBV NdB is led by a six-member board that is elected every four years by the dentists of Lower Bavaria by postal vote. The current term of office lasts from 2014 to 2018.

The board of directors is provided by the Association of Future Dentists Bavaria . The first chairman is automatically a member of the board of directors of the Bavarian State Dental Association. In addition, the ZBV NdB sends four delegates to the general assembly of the BLZK.

The ZBV NdB publishes the Zahnärztliche Nachrichten Niederbayern (ZNN) as the official organ three times a year .
Advanced training
The tasks of the ZBV NdB include training dentists and dental staff. In addition to ongoing training, the Lower Bavarian Dental Conference is held.
history
The ZBV NdB emerged from the Dental District Association for Upper Palatinate and Lower Bavaria , which was founded in 1925. This was preceded by the new law on the Chamber of Health Professions for the State of Bavaria of August 1, 1957. As of December 31, 1958, the number of members was 487 dentists, of which 382 were resident dentists.

Awards
The association received the Bavarian Health and Care Award 2015 from the Bavarian State Ministry for Health and Care for "Mobile dental care in homes for the elderly and the disabled by means of temporarily converted ambulances ".
