The Jungfer colliery was a coal mine in Hacheney , a district of the Hörde district of Dortmund .
history
The Jungfer colliery had been in operation since 1754. The four Jungfer seams were mined. The high-quality sunshine seam of the Bochum strata was located under the mined seams . The mine was located in what is now the Rombergpark, not far from Brünninghausen Castle . It belonged to the extensive mine holdings of the von Romberg family .
The Stollenzeche was driven eastwards by the Schondelle . Which was drained tunnels from 1771 by Christine and already Delle Erbstollen. The mine field was consolidated into Jungfer & Christine colliery . The main buyer of coal from the Jungfer colliery was the Königsborn salt works .
