The journal for papyrology and epigraphy (abbr .: ZPE ) is a specialist journal in the field of classical ancient studies . It has been published in four to five editions per year by Rudolf Habelt, a Bonn publisher, since 1967. The ZPE primarily publishes articles on newly found or newly interpreted papyri and inscriptions ; but there are also more general ancient historical articles. The magazine has been published by Werner Eck , Charikleia Armoni , Rodney Ast , Helmut Engelmann , Jürgen Hammerstaedt , Andrea Jördens , Rudolf Kassel , Wolfgang Dieter Lebek , Klaus Maresch , Georg Petzl , Cornelia Römer and Gregor Staab since October 2018 .

The ZPE volumes published from 1988 to 2000 are freely accessible on the Internet.
