Zidanta I was from around 1560 to 1550 BC. BC ( middle chronology ) Hittite great king .

Zidanta was a member of the high nobility and Hittite son of Ḫantili I. , the brother in law of the Great King I. Mursili was. Apparently some of the Hittite nobility did not agree with his accession to the throne. That is why Zidanta and iliantili went "up to the palace" and killed Mursili, whether alone is not certain. Ḫantili now became great king and when he tried to make his son Pišeni his successor, he was murdered by Zidanta.
