Zinandali (wine)

Tsinandali or Tsinandali ( Georgia წინანდალი) is the brand name of the most famous white wine, from the wine-growing region of the district of the same name Telavi in the Georgian region of Kakheti comes. The wine-growing region is located in the Alazani valley .

It is a traditional blend of the grape varieties called Rkaziteli (85%) and Mzwane (15%). This wine has a straw yellow color and is classified as a "dry white wine". It is usually stored in oak barrels for at least two years before it goes on sale.

The first zinandali was produced in 1886.

taste

The Zinandali has a strong, fruity flower. A sour taste dominates in the mouth. In the finale, it develops a slight bitterness that is reminiscent of the juice of grapefruit . For this reason, it is mainly used as a dessert wine in summer.
