Zoran Tošić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Зоран Тошић ; born April 28, 1987 in Zrenjanin , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian football player who is under contract with FK Partizan Belgrade and plays for the Serbian national team. He plays in attacking midfield, mostly on the left.

Club career

Tošić played for Proleter Zrenjanin during his youth . In 2004 he joined the club's professional squad, where he began his professional career. Two years later he played with Banat Zrenjanin . There clubs like Red Star and Partizan Belgrade became aware of him, and later talent scouts from international clubs. Despite offers from major European teams, he went to Partizan Belgrade.

Manchester United

On January 2, 2009, he and Adem Ljajić signed a contract with Manchester United . On January 20, 2009 he was in the squad for the first time. He made his debut for Manchester four days later in the FA Cup game against Tottenham Hotspur . On January 27, 2009, he played his first game in the Premier League . He was substituted on in the 77th minute. Most of the time he played for United's reserves. He became a regular there and finished second in the Premier Reserve League in 2009 . With the reserve team, he also won the Manchester Senior Cup in 2009 . He scored the decisive goal in the final.

1. FC Cologne

On January 27, 2010 Tošić was loaned to 1. FC Cologne for half a year . He scored his first goal for Cologne on March 27, 2010 against Hannover 96 . With a second goal in this game, he played a major role in his team's 4-1 victory. With his second "double pack" on April 16, 2010 in the game against VfL Bochum , he made a significant contribution to the fact that 1. FC Köln did not relegate.

CSKA Moscow

On June 15, 2010 it was announced that Tošić was moving to the Russian first division club CSKA Moscow for the 2010/11 season and signed a five-year contract there. National team

Zoran Tošić took part in the U-21 European Football Championship in 2007 , where he reached the final with the team. He was also part of the team at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . He played in all three preliminary round games. But Serbia dropped out as the bottom of the group.

He made his debut in the Serbian national football team on September 8, 2007 against Finland. On August 12, 2009, he scored his first goal for Serbia in a friendly against South Africa. At the Soccer World Cup 2010 he was substituted on in the last group game against Australia. Serbia was eliminated after the preliminary round.
