The compilation of the temporary speed limits and other special features (La) is issued weekly by DB Netz AG .
It contains all operational features and supplements the book timetable . It must be carried on the traction vehicle and checked before the journey.
Typical contents include information on speed limits due to construction work, deviations from the book timetable during the year, limited availability of the ( GSM-R ) train radio and sources of danger if the train has to be disembarked on the open route (e.g. due to missing bridge railings or inaccessible side paths).
As an internal document, it may not be passed on to third parties.
DB Netz has divided Germany into five La areas (north, center, east, south, southeast), for each of which a separate La booklet is published. The validity is usually one week, and two weeks during the low-volume period around the turn of the year. Unforeseen changes occurring during the validity of the LA booklet will be announced in the form of handwritten LA corrections; In the case of very last-minute changes, the driver is informed by means of an order .
