Branch Post Office

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The branch post offices were full-fledged post offices for the customer , but without their own administration. They were considered branches of the accounting post office and were administered by the accounting post office in a similar way to the postal agencies. Later, smaller post offices in the country were also transferred to such a clearing post office in a neighboring town.

Branch post offices were offices that were divided into branch post offices K, L, and M depending on the scope of service. The branch post offices K and L were subordinate to a main office, the branch post offices M in general to an accounting post office, and the branch post offices M of a rural postal area to a control post office. The heads of the branch post offices K and L were professional civil servants, the heads of the branch post offices were employees with the title of branch post office chief. The service processing and cash management of the branch post offices M are regulated according to the "Service Instructions (DA) for ZwPÄ M and PST.I".
