Michael Wentzel (born April 20, 2002) is an American soccer player who plays as a defender for St. Louis City 2. He previously played for Rot-Weiß Oberhausen[1] and generally plays as a central defender.[2]

Early life[edit]

Wentzel is the son of an economics professor.[3] He attended boarding school.[4]

Wentzel's youth career was described as "a positive example that the corona pandemic was also an opportunity for talent".[5]
