from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

According to DIN 4045, an overflow (or overflow structure) is a “component in relief structures for draining waste water into the receiving water , eg. B. rain overflow , sewage overflow , basin overflow ".

Rain overflow

The overflow is designed in such a way that a certain amount of water flows on to the sewage treatment plant or to another sewage treatment plant and the excess amount of water that arrives is relieved via a threshold to the receiving water.
