History MÁV 2282/09

The locomotive with the serial number MÁV 2282/09 was used on the Schwarzgranbahn (Slovak: Čiernohronská železnica (ČHŽ)). Until 1918 it was run under the company number 1, then under the number 3. In 1938 it was registered under the number U 34.902, whereby it was carried under the number U 34.901 after the Second World War . In 1951, after it fell over in Kyslá dolina, major repairs and a double chimney from the former U 44.901 locomotive , which had been destroyed during the war, underwent major repairs .

The locomotive carried passengers on the route between Hronec and Čierny Balog until the 1970s . In 1975 the locomotive was sold to the Kysuce Museum in Čadca for trips on the Vychylovka Forest Railway . Between 1975 and 1977 the locomotive was completely overhauled and stored in a makeshift locomotive shed near the current locomotive shed of the Vychylovka Forest Railway.

In May 1980 the locomotive was used to transfer the remaining locomotives from Tanečník to Vychylovka . This is also the last verifiable stay of a functioning steam locomotive in Tanečník. In the 1980s after the reconstruction of the rail line between Chmúra and Kubátkovia , the locomotive was used together with the U 45.903 locomotive on loan from the Museum liptovskej dediny for test drives on the new line (Kubátkovia – Chmúra – Beskyd).

During the fire in the Vychylovka locomotive shed in 1988, the locomotive was not damaged and, along with the MÁV 4281/1916 U 45.901, is the only operational steam locomotive on the Vychylovka Forest Railway.

History MÁV 2165/08

The locomotive with the serial number MÁV 2165/08 was also built by MÁVAG in Budapest in 1908 , and with the serial number 2282/09 changed its designation several times. This locomotive was sold to the narrow-gauge railway in Waldbahn Vigľaš (Slovak: Viglašská Lesná Železnica ) in 1950 .
