open air museum

The Řepora open-air museum (former name Tuležim ) is a museum on the south-western outskirts of Prague near the Stodůlky metro station in the Řeporyje district and represents a Czech village from the 14th century .

The museum village was built in 1999 on the site of a former clay pit and is still growing. You can see the workshops of potters, blacksmiths and fishermen, as well as farms, a medieval tavern and a church with a cemetery. The museum is surrounded by a palisade with towers and gates. The whole village was built using medieval technology without modern machines.

As the museum is occasionally used for filming, it is closed to the public during these times.

The open-air museum has been closed for several years (as of August 2019) and is no longer open to the public.
