↔ is an arrow symbol . It is called a double arrow , which is ambiguous. In addition, the English term Left right arrow is used.

In mathematics it is used as an equivalence arrow (next to the double-sided arrow ⇔ ), in chemistry as a mesomeric arrow .

Its Unicode number is 2194. Its UTF-8 number is E28694. The HTML coding is ↔or ↔. The coding in LaTeX is \leftrightarrow.
