The Ꝥ (lower case ꝥ) is a letter of the Latin writing system . It consists of a Þ (thorn), in which, in contrast to the Ꝧ , the thorn with the lower part of the trunk crossed out, the upper part of the trunk is crossed out.
The character is used in numerous contemporary Old Norse and Old English scripts. In Old English it is used as an abbreviation for the pronoun þæt (this, that), in Old Norse it stands for the related word þat .
