.eus is the top-level domain for the Basque language . The abbreviation eus comes from the Basque endonym euskara , which means "Basque language".

In 2008 dotCYMRU, dotEUS, dotSCOT and dotBZH founded the group "ECLID" ("European Cultural and Linguistic Domains"). On June 10, 2013, ICANN approved the creation of the domain. However, until March – April 2014, the use of the domain name was only possible to a limited extent.
