.gl is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Greenland . It was introduced on April 8, 1994 and is administered by the Tele Greenland registry . The registry is completely independent of the Dansk Internet Forum , which is responsible for .dk .

A .gl domain can be between one and 63 characters long. Any natural or legal person worldwide can register an address, a place of residence or a branch in the country is not necessary. The administrative contact person can also be based outside Greenland.
