Domains can be registered on both the second and third level, the length is limited to three to 63 characters. There are various second-level domains : .com.ki and .biz.ki for companies, .net.ki for Internet service providers , .info.ki for general information, .org.ki for non-profit organizations , .gov.ki for the government of the country, .edu.ki for educational institutions , .mob.ki for mobile websites, and .tel.ki for providing contact details. Compared to other top-level domains , the fees for .ki domains are very high, which is why the ending hardly plays a role internationally.
