.mn

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

.mn is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Mongolia . It was introduced by IANA on March 2, 1995 and is administratively managed by Datacom Co. Ltd. managed in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar . The name servers extend over three systems.

properties

A .mn domain may be between three and 63 characters long; the use of special characters is currently not possible. Registration usually takes one day, and holders do not need a place of residence or a branch in Mongolia. The administrative contact person (Admin-C) may also be based abroad . However, both must be at least 18 years old.

Others

In the course of the planned allocation of new top-level domains , .mn received unwanted attention because the company Onekind Productions offered the allocation of addresses with the ending .nyc.mn as an alternative to .nyc . The abbreviation creates a reference to New York as well as the district of Manhattan .
