The 30th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (Russian no. 2) was born on 18th August 1944 from the Schutzmannschaften Brigade "Siegling", named after the commander, Major of Police Hans Siegling formed.

It was used in Warsaw and then for so-called anti - gangs in France .

Units presumably belonging to the division carried out the Etobon massacre on September 27, 1944 , in which 39 residents of the municipality of Étobon in the Haute-Saône department were executed for supporting the Resistance . Another 27 people were abducted to Germany, seven of whom were also killed.

On December 31, 1944, on the orders of the SS Leadership Main Office , the division was transferred to the 25th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS "Hunyadi" to the Waffen-Grenadier-Brigade of the SS ( " Volksdeutsche ", parts of the artillery and administrative units). Belarusian No. 1) reclassified.
