5-Minute Crafts is owned by TheSoul Publishing, based in Limassol , Cyprus. The company was founded by the Russian duo Pavel Radaev and Marat Mukhametov. The company has stated that it produces 1,500 videos a month and employs 550 people working on various YouTube channels and Facebook pages. The channel is on the Channel Frederator network. The channel called 5-Minute Crafts also operates on Instagram .

The channel mainly contains videos on the topic of handicrafts and life hacks, which are designed in DIY and how-to formats. The channel's videos use the popular point-of-view style, in which the camera is pointed directly at a table, with employees only showing their hands in the picture.

history

5-Minute Crafts was registered on YouTube on November 15, 2016. The channel's first video entitled "5 essential DIY hacks that you need to know" was uploaded the next day. In the weeks to come, the channel's subscribers and video views grew rapidly. When the channel reached 50 million subscribers in March 2019, it became the third most subscribed channel on YouTube.
