8mm is a pop rock band with trip-hop influences , formed in 2004 in Los Angeles , California .
After working for Nine Inch Nails for several years, Sean Beavan founded the band 8mm in 2004 with his wife Juliette Beavan.
The debut album Songs To Love And Die By ... was released in September 2006 on the Curb Appeal Records label. After a few EPs, the band released their second album Between the Devil and Two Black Hearts on September 13, 2012 . The album was recorded at Undercurrent Studios in Los Angeles . Musician Dave Philips and drummer Jon Nicholson assisted with some of the songs.
