AM Dow was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

AM Dow originally made electrical parts such as coils . For this he advertised nationally and took part in automobile exhibitions. In 1905 he manufactured a vehicle for his own use. The vehicle was found to be good, it attracted attention and generated demand. Thereupon Dow manufactured more automobiles, which were marketed as Dow . Production ended either in 1905 or around 1906.

In 1907, eight vehicles of this brand were still registered in Massachusetts.

The chassis came from AO Smith , the four-cylinder engine from Trebert Gas Engine Company and the tires from Michelin . The structure was a Roi-des-Belges .
