The term A2F is for connecting elements used (bolts, etc.) to the surface as Electrically galvanized marked.

The basis of the designation is DIN EN ISO 4042: Fastening elements - galvanic coatings. The three-digit code can also be used to specify other types of surface coating. It stands

  1. the code letter for the coating material, here A = zinc (Zn)
  2. the key figure for the layer thickness measured in µm , here 2 = 5 µm
  3. the code letter for the degree of gloss and the aftertreatment ( chromating ), here F = bright, bluish color
