The ARCS model is a motivational instruction design for e-learning .
The ARCS model by Keller / Kopp (1987) was created on the basis of the already existing motivational design by Keller (1983), where the acronym ARCS stands for the four motivational conditions:

- Relevance (relevance)
- Confidence in success
- Satisfaction (satisfaction)
