Aberdepot
An Aberdepot is a securities account in which ownership of the securities in custody passes to the custodian institution. As a rule, the customer can only request the return of certain securities. Particularly in the event of the bankruptcy of the custodian bank, there is only one claim from the bankruptcy estate . According to the German Depot Act, such a deposit is not intended for credit institutions.
