Shear bolts for a steering lock

A shear bolt is a special screw with two heads on top of each other. The upper head with the shaped element for connection to the tool for turning the screw breaks off when tightening when a specific torque is applied , so that the screw can only be loosened with a special tool.

Shear bolts are used, for example, to protect fastened parts from manipulation or theft.
