Aburra
The Aburra tribes were one of the largest Indian tribes that lived in Colombia between the Río Magdalena and Río Cauca until the 16th century . After the forcible conquest of the area by the Spaniards, many Indians preferred suicide in a hopeless fight .
Today there are still Aburrah tribes, but the number of Aburrahs has remained small. The Aburrá Valley is named after the Aburra .
