Extraction press

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Printing presses are referred to as extraction presses , which are only used to produce proofs or very small editions with mostly poor print quality. The pull-off or pressure press uses a flat shape and a round counter pressure , which, unlike the high-speed presses (automatic machines), is moved over the printing form. There are simple versions without system and inking unit and more complicated versions with paper system and automatic re-inking unit. There are variants with fixed counterpressure and variants in which the counterpressure only rests loosely with its own weight on the mold. Pressure presses are often used today by schools and artists because of their simple structure.
