Ad Bos Collectief

The Ad Bos Collectief (Ad Bos collective) was a Dutch party.

history

The party was founded on August 10, 2006 by Ad Bos, who became known in the Netherlands in 2001 as a whistleblower in connection with a building fraud. With his party, Bos wanted to turn against friendship and entanglement in politics. Bos was also the top candidate of his party, which ran in 16 of the 19 constituencies in the 2006 parliamentary elections, but was unable to enter the Dutch lower house with 5,149 votes (0.1%) . The party ended after the elections.

Party platform

The Ad Bos Collectief is not committed to any political direction, rather the party is thematically oriented entirely to the issues of unbundling politics and regaining the citizens' trust in them. The party advocates the compulsory disclosure of lists of members of parties and the ban on secondary functions for members of parliament. The number of people's representatives is to be reduced and the bureaucracy in the public sector reduced. Furthermore, the party advocates the independence of judges and the disclosure of secondary functions in the judiciary. She is also campaigning for a referendum on compulsory service for school leavers (compulsory military service has been suspended for peacetime since 1997, so alternative civilian service is no longer available until further notice).
