AdventureRooms

AdventureRooms is a Swiss company that offers adventure games worldwide. The first game was started in March 2012 as a school project by Gabriel Palacios, a physics teacher from Bern. This original game was offered as "Original" or "Swiss Original" in 22 countries and is therefore one of the best known and most played escape rooms worldwide.

AdventureRooms was one of the very first providers of Escape Games and has shaped the development of these games by introducing puzzles with a scientific background (for example puzzles with infrared light, polarization filters, light spectra, stroboscopes, etc.). The franchising that began in 2013 has made this type of puzzle in Europe , North America and Australia and mixed with other influences.

A collaboration with Technorama Winterthur led to the construction of two games in the exhibition rooms of the Science Center. An Adventure Rooms game was also installed in the Natural History Museum in Bern on the occasion of the special exhibition "Doomsday".

Another typical feature of AdventureRooms is the "duel" game mode, where two teams play against each other in the same game. This mode is mainly used by large groups for team building.

In 2014, the famous ratings site Tripadvisor AdventureRooms topped Niagara Falls in Canada and the Acropolis in Athens before Tripadvisor changed its rating system.

In March 2019 there were a total of 156 AdventureRooms games in 19 countries.

The average escape rate is 30%.
