The Aero A.102 was the prototype of a single-seat fighter aircraft from the Czech company Aero Továrna Letadel Dr. Kabes .

development

In 1937 Aero created a prototype called A.102, powered by a Gnóme-Rhóne-Mistral engine built under license by Walter. The machine was very similar to the well-known and successful Polish PZL P.11 ; like this, the A.102 had a wing in the shape of a gull wing ( Puławski wing ). The monoplane was to be delivered to the Czech Air Force in series. Ultimately, however, it was decided not to put the machine into service, and so it stayed with the single copy.

construction

The Aero A.102 was a single-seat high-wing aircraft with an open cockpit and wings shaped like a seagull. The wings were braced against the fuselage with N-handles. The landing gear consisted of a rigid main landing gear with two individually suspended wheels, which were clad in a streamlined manner, and a rigid grinding spur.
