Affiche paper

Poster paper , blueback or blue back paper is another name for poster paper. The French word affiche means "notice", "poster" or "notice".

According to DIN 6730, affiche paper is “white printing paper, wood-free, wet-strength, fully glued, also smooth on one side; printed and folded, it must be able to be stored in water for a limited time before it is glued ”. The back is mostly blue. The basis weight is usually at least 115 g / m².

Intended use

Affiche paper is mainly used in outdoor advertising .

Due to its nature, it is suitable for the wet-gluing process in poster advertising. The colored, mostly blue background prevents older poster motifs pasted over from showing through.
