Africa Museum Suakoko
The Africa Museum Suakoko was a private art museum in Liberia and was located in the Bong District , in the village of Suakoko , about twelve kilometers west of the capital Gbarnga .
The museum was built in the 1960s from private art collections and advised and supervised scientifically by Cuttington College .
The exhibits also included ethnographically significant objects, including a significant collection of Kru Money - an early form of African coins that were exchanged as objects of value on various occasions. During the civil war , Suakoko was raided several times and the museum was plundered. Nothing is known about the current state of the museum.
