The association members are advised in over 700 advice centers located throughout Germany in accordance with Section 23 of the Tax Advisory Act (StBerG). These counseling centers are run by independent counseling center managers who meet the statutory qualification requirements. A counseling center manager must have relevant professional experience of at least three years before approval is granted by the competent supervisory authority (usually the Oberfinanzdirektion).

They are trained several times a year in regular seminars. The seminars are held together with the Altbayerischer Lohnsteuerhilfeverein eV in order to use synergy effects, to be able to offer training courses as widely as possible and to employ qualified lecturers. In addition, counseling center managers receive information about current developments in legislation and case law. The head of the advice center is also available at the head office with experts on employee taxation in order to ensure an accurate tax assessment even in difficult cases.

The association is a member of the Bundesverband Lohnsteuerhilfevereine eV
