The al-Zawraa Sport Club ( Arabic الزوراء, DMG az-Zaurāʾ ) is an Iraqi sports club from Baghdad . With 12 Iraqi championships and 14 cup wins, it is the most successful football club in Iraq.

al-Muwasalat was founded on June 29, 1969 and renamed al-Zawraa in 1972. al-Zawraa played in the Iraqi Super League for the first time in the 1974/75 season and became champions for the first time one season later.

Al-Zawraa has been a member of the Iraqi Super League without interruption since 1974 and is record champions with 13 titles and also won the national cup competition 15 times.

In the AFC Champions League you could reach the group stage in 2005 and 2007 and were in the 2000 final of the Asian Cup Winners Cup . Here they lost 0: 1 to the Japanese representative Shimizu S-Pulse .
