Alambra

Alhambra (also alambra-Mouttes ) is the site of an archaeological site in the Nicosia District of Cyprus .

Excavations took place there from 1974 to 1985, during which the remains of a Middle Bronze Age (approx. 1900–1650 BC) settlement were discovered. Various residential buildings came to light, which were rectangular houses with several rooms. Cattle, roe deer, pig and goat bones were excavated.

The ceramic finds were important to clarify the development of Bronze Age ceramics in Cyprus. Two types of clay could be distinguished from which the local pottery was produced. Ceramic figures and copper objects were found , but no signs of copper processing.
